You will have to look for a label near the fill hole (should be on drivers side) on the gearbox - it'll either say "ATF" or "MTF-LT?" depending on model. There's no point trying the main dealer because that's what they'll tell you!

If it's ATF, get some good quality atf fluid (power steering fluid) out of a motor factor. If it's mtf, you'll have to get it from the main dealer - you will probably need 2 litres as it'll take 1.1 litres to fill:rolleyes: When you do refill it, allow all the excess to drain out at the fill hole or else you'll have too much in it and it'll end up pissing it out at the rear seal:mad:

Had a look at the side of the box and is said life time oil no need to replace. I wouldnt be too happy to leave the oil unchanged and since found out they will run even better with a good quality fully syn GL 5 75 90 gear oil.

They say lifetime but it seems to be a common conception to change it around the 70k mark. Be very careful what oil you put in, make sure it'll do the box or you'll have a big bill on your hands!
