Just thought I'd advise people to be careful and keep their eyes open for this type of dickery this halloween weekend.

Was driving past Navan about 9pm last night and some little scumbags (4-5 15 year olds) threw a rock (an egg I could forgive, but a fecking rock!!) from some bushes and smashed the rear tail light on my S2000. :(

I quickly pulled into the estate and chased them to the other end of it but they got away through an alley, probably best for me that I didnt catch them. Went to the Guards then, guy was sound and was sending a car up but I wont hold my breath.

    It'd break your heart.. :(

    Take care.

Where abouts in Navan did this happen? i feel for you, nothing worse then hearing the whack of something hard hitting your car and seeing who done it and them getting away, if you did catch them there would be plenty of 'fires' over the weekend in which to teach them a lesson...:D:D

It was on the bypass on the Kells side, going by one of the rougher estates.

Similar thing happened to me on the way home last Saturday afternoon. Driving along the N24 about 6 miles outside Limerick when I heard this bang from the passenger side of the car. Knew it sounded like a stone, thing is that it is a good stretch of road with hedge along both sides of it and very few houses in the area. Got home and found a nice dent about the size of a €2 coin in the centre of my back passenger door. Luckily the paint is not cracked and I managed to pull it out a little with a small plunger carefully. Didn't want to try anything else as I would probably make it worse but you can still see it.

Couldn't see anybody at the time but the sound and force of the stone would suggest that it didn't fly up from the road by itself. It definately had to be thrown from the ditch though.
