    Hey guys,

While driving into Castlebar from the Ballinrobe direction (northbound) my friend and I witnessed a bizarre looking aircraft. It was approx 8.30 yesterday night. It was flying quite low and was a sort of a dark aircraft. It was quite long, it had a white light on the front with a red light on the back. It was flying in an easterly/north easterly direction which is in the general direction of knock.

What caught my friends eye was the fact it was a dark aircraft and had no flashing lights. Im just curious could anyone shed some light on it :)

Yep.it was an Aer Corps Helicopter(AW139),didnt catch which one it was,i.e 27?.it was doing some practice approaches into the helipad at the hospital in Castlebar. It then departed for Sligo before returning to base.

He was here yesterday around the 3pm mark. I got pictures from the house but deleted them as they turned out rather mucky with the WX we had yesterday. If they hung around longer at the Pad id have cycled down.
