looking for second hand car

hi.im looking for a car price range round 500-800euro.mostly just for a run around. mostly for city use.was wondering what are the best of the older cars,reliability wise. is it the usual suspects like micras and polos. saw a good deal on a fiat seicento but not sure they are the most reliable.any help would be appreciated?.

Condition is much more important than the make of car in this price territory

Im in the same boat with a slightly bigger budget. Any car Ive looked at has been a waste of time, so many jokers out there at that price range, IMO there isnt any value in low cc cars unless your spending over 2k.

Seicentos are priced rediculously , anybody know how much they were new?

I own Fiat seicento sporting 1.1 L 2002 53 K on clock,19 months of NCT left,3 months tax,serviced 3 months ago and I know that is not worth it more than 1000 yoyos

1.6 is too big, already getting raped on tax on another car so has to be 1.2 or below, Id also love to see what 40MPG is like hahaha
