Want to chenge the car - options for disposing of current model

I need a new car (i.e. not new new but 1 - 2 years old) but I have one to get rid of first. The few garages I've gone to are only looking for the "scrappage" business and don't want my 5 year Megane hatch (65,000 km) as a trade in.

I couldn't be bothered going the private sale route as I've been down that road before and its littered with time wasters. So is there any place that does "cars for cash" type business or will I get ripped off?

    Private sale all the way

Just drop the price, put some ad on your car window, that will do the trick

Some garages do it and also the auctions will buy it off you but both will give you pennies for it
