I have been waiting for my first payment of Rent allowance to come in and it did today in the bank. However I have some questions.

I paid rent out of my own money for Aug/Sept/Oct while waiting for the Rent allowance to get sorted, as well as a rent deposit. I then got a letter saying I would be paid on the 27th of this month. The money that has come in today does not make any sense, it does not break down to what I am supposed to get each month, or indeed back dated?

Can anyone explain how it works?

Also, do you get paid in advance for the coming month or after? I am very confused!
