Hey im a college student about to begin an assignment on the financial impact that the discontinuation of REPS is having on farmers in Leitrim, and I was hoping some farmers here could give me an insight into what those impacts are. Like what are the personal and professional consequences financially of the discontinuation of REPS?

    Thanks :)

Hiya, a starting point would be to look at Teagasc figures for average profitability on various farnm enterprises. Then see how large a bearing the loss of the REPS cheque would be on various sized enterprises. See how large an expansion of the farm enterprise may be needed to cover the removal of the REPS payment.
