    Hey guys, i just started saving 50 euro a week in my AiB account. I should have 2000 euro by the end of the college year, but is there anything i can do stock wise between now and then with the money? What options are open to someone with such a low starting amount.

    Hi,

    Well done getting into the savings mindset.

    While your savings grow I would read, read, read and watch some youtube videos on investments.

    Have a look through this forum and you'll find lots of resourses for you to start with.

    Eddie.

    My initial response to 'youtube videos for investment advice' would be sceptical, could you point me to some channels you watch?

    There are some good ones around. Learned quite a bit from Informed Trades. (Mostly deals with speculative trading).

    For investing check out these sites;

    Motley Fool
    Morning Star
    AAII
    Seeking Alpha

    If you have a few quid saved up but not sure what to invest it in then maybe an index tracker might be a good idea.

    Something with a low expense ratio like iShares S&P 500 index fund (IVV) might be worth a look.

    Just do a search for Warren Buffett, or any other investment God that you would like to learn from....
