Recently I have been getting the message "Brewing unit blocked" on my Gaggia ( syncrony compact digital ) coffee machine. Am not sure what caused this to appear, but it wont go away. Recently I have been getting the message "Brewing unit blocked" on my Gaggia ( syncrony compact digital ) coffee machine. Am not sure what caused this to appear, but it wont go away.

I can still make coffee but it clearly isn't functioning properly. I looked online for some possible solutions, thought I would ask here as well to be safe.

How can I fix this, and do I risk voiding the warranty by attempting it myself ?

What causes the brewing unit to get blocked ? If this is something that I cant fix myself, where can I find a place to do it for me ?
