Jobseekers Allowance and Form11

    Hi,

    Quick question...

If I am self-employed but have also been in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance (legitimately and above board) for part of the year, where do I enter this on on Form11?

There is a Social Welfare section but it only mentioned Jobseekers Benefit. More precisely, it lists:

Social Welfare Payments, Benefits or Pensions received:
    - Illness/Occupational Injury/Jobseekers Benefits Enter taxable amount
    - Carer’s Allowance paid by Dept. of Social & Family Affairs
    - Pre-Retirement Allowance
    - Other taxable Social Welfare Payments, Benefits or Pensions

The three possibilities I can see are:
    - It's not meant to be declared
    - I declare it in the same box as Jobseekers Benefit (but it is not a taxable source of money so don't see how)
    - I declare it in Social Welfare Payments (ditto, as it's not taxable*)

    Thanks for any help!

Jobseekers Allowance isn't taxable so it doesnt go into your return

Jobseekers benefit is taxable so that's why there is a place for it on the form specifically

Thanks Legend100. I was starting to feel like it shouldn't go on the return after finding out it wasn't taxable. This stuff is all alien to me so I appreciate the help.
