Bubble Hem Dress Advice

Just got a bubble hem dress which I really like the colour of but when I try it on I'm not so sure  It has sequins and detail around the neckline but then it just goes out to the bubble hem to just above the knee. I'm concerned it makes me look a bit 'round'! I'm 5' 5'', size 12 with a 34DD bust. Is this totally the wrong style for me?

there's no defined waist? could you try it with a belt?
Problem with a large chest is that the dress tends to hang off it, so there's no definition at the waist so they can make things look a bit round alright! I have a bubble hem dress with a belt, it looks awful without the belt to show I have some shape.
