What can you do with a PSP (apart from games)

So I picked up a cheap PSP 2003 at the weekend on impulse, mainly because I remembered there being all these great things you could do with it when connected it upto your PS3 (using it as a rearview mirror in racing games etc). From what I can see now, none of that ever happened.
So apart from buying some games for it (not likely to happen to be honest, have ~20 Xbox 360/PS3 games to get through first), what else can it do?
I have a 4 GB memory card on its way.
Is it any use as a video player, can I play any of my PS3 PSN games on it, I've heard of running emulators on it too, any use?

    Thanks for any answers.

It's fricking awesome as a video player imo, but you'll need to convert your files to MP4 before you can play them. (use something like xvid4psp)
You can play PS1 games that you've downloaded from the PSN, and Minis too, but that's about it I'm afraid...

Having to convert the videos is a right pain in the nuts. If you can crack it (obviously I shan't say how, and I've had no time to do it myself) you shouldn't need to crack it and you can load up emulators etc.

As a video player, its pretty excellent, the battery life is unreal. Perfect for flights Watched entire box sets on long hauls :D

I have a few films on it about 10 games and the full Ricky gervais XFM radio series.

You can get some internet radio stations too

Thanks for the answers so far.
I guess that if I were to buy any PSP games, there are no trophies either? :(
