VW 94 Polo Coupe won't start when hot...

    This is an ongoing problem...When I start the car when it's cold its grand...If I drive for 5 minutes and stop and leave it for a minute or 2 it turns like normal but wont start...It has also cut out a couple of times at lights...

    I got it serviced a month ago and all the the guy could see wrong with it is it needed a new breather pipe which I replaced...

    Any help would be much appreciated...

    Possible Engine temp sensor, replaced this on an Impreza and

    a Toyota Starlet. When they were started from cold. They ran fine.

    But if you parked up and returned and tried to re-start if the engine was any way warm,

    the car would stuggle to start. Cost of sensor €70. Not a big job to replace either.

    ditto above. Temp sensor will be the issue. Had the same prob before

    Nice one!

    Come to think of it I noticed the temp gauge hasn't been moving for a while...

    Also a thin transparent tube that comes from under air filter isn't connected to anything, I take it this reads a temperature somewhere...

    The one on the left is connected but the one on the right isn't
