track rod end problem

    i went to change the outer track rod end in my car yesterday but the lock nut is basically wielded on with the rust.i say it hasnt been touched since factory.what be the best way to loosen it.i was thinking if i heated it would it help or what other options are there

    You can try soaking it in WD-40 but if its really tight then the only option is to heat it up and it should loosen up no problem.

    WD-40; then tighten before loosening. Worth a try before applying heat anyway.
