    Hey,
Just a quick question. My neighbour "kindly" handed me a letter this morning addressed to me which he mistakenly picked up,problem is its a letter from the social welfare asking for proof of looking for work etc. however it is dated over 3 weeks ago and on it states that no reply in 14 days will affect my payment.

I picked up my payment for this week on friday last due to the bank holiday so nothing has happened yet.

Just wondering what shall I do?Shall i reply now and send it in today and ignore the 14 day thing or simply go in or call and explain what happened and hope no process is already in the pipeline.

    Thanks

You will normally get another letter within a week to ten days of not returning that form which will tell you to return it within a week or so or you will be cut off completely.
The way things are gone lately I wouldnt tempt fate, or wait for a response. Just fill it in quickly, hand it in and explain why it happened or else contact them and tell them the truth that you have unreliable postage and you need more time now to complete the form. They will understand.

Give them a call and explain what happened. They're usually pretty okay in the offices.
