Agreed, Jalapeños are the lovely sweet ones, they're brilliant, for a bit of heat use Scotch Bonnets or Birds Eyes

2 smokes lets go, and get me some galapano chips.

They are an aquired hot taste I guess. 10 years ago they would have been way too hot, but now they are fine, and just add a bit of a kick to things.

Beef chilli with jalapenos on chips.

    mmmmmmm.

Yeah cinemas are well known for selling the best high quality food.
Cardboard "nachos", "salsa" that comes from a tub, Jalapenos from a jar and cheese that was once in powder form in a sachet, sounds delicious!

    'H-aaaaaal-apeeno, Ricky....like an H'

But yeah Jalapenos are well worth the sting. And the occasional pizza sweats :o

Doesn't sound wrong at all mate. Ask for an omelette in Mexico and this is what you'll get. It's damn delicious. Also in Spain you can get a breakfast boccadillo which is basically a baguette with sliced chorizo sausage, fried eggs, cheese, salsa and rakes of jalapeno peppers on it. Wash that down with a jug of sangria on a late Saturday morning. The bleedin' BUSINESS!

I like habanero and chipotle peppers too.

Anybody ever tried that Jalapeno lube that Durex brought out a few years back?

It certainly spiced up my love life.

hated them years ago but love them now, as for stingy ring I ate an Indian my girl picked up while at dinner with her parents the other night and her Da likes to order meals extra hot for the laugh, she tells me this as I'm starting to need a shower or at least wash my hair from the sweating!! then she said the waiter might have doubled the request due to one or 2 family members exphasising the need for the take away to be real hot!!

2nd dump in next day and I never experienced anything like the burning hole I had on me after it!!

now what I felt was an extreem case of over chilli'd but in moderation they're delicious.

I might add the Indian was so nice too!!

When I read your post first I kinda skipped over the word 'my'. Gave it a totally different meaning.

I always get them on pizzas and luckily the staff at my local pizzeria know my order. So even when I can barely stand, slurring my words and I can barely utter a word, they always say to me: "9 inch with pepperoni and jalapenos?"

    "Yeeeeeeeeeeeahhhhh, uh, thanks."

    :pac:

If you really want a pepper that will give you the ring sting, try the Habanero, you can get them in the tescos finest section!

They carry a warnning to not touch without wearing gloves and Never stand in the fumes of your cooking!

In fact I'm eating some right now - tuna, sweetcorn, mayo and chopped up jalapenos = sandwich filler heaven!

I hadn't had them in a while, but got some on a pizza the other night.
Maybe it's the really hot curries I've been making of late, but they weren't in the least bit hot.

They do taste great on a fajita too. Well, that's today's dinner dilemma sorted.
I like habanero and chipotle peppers too.

    Do you use chipotle-away?

Also you can buy pure capsicum ectract, it's the oil from the chilli, it's just fire in a bottle.

I use the orange ones in homemade curries. I made the mistake of rubbing my eye after cutting one up, even though I washed my hands afterwards. Stung like hell for a good hour.

For the ghost pepper and birds eyes I'd try asian restaurants, there's a chance they may at least be able to tell you. The Habaneros are more used in Mexican cooking, I think.

Ohhhh ive heard of the Hanaberos. My friend missed the warning on the bottle, proceeded to start chopping and cutting with bare hands then made the major mistake of scratching his arse. Hasnt shut up about the pain since.

Birds eye chillis in tescos are alrite.
Can get scotch bonnet in Lidl most days. They come in various packs, some have the scotch bonnet some dont.

I cut a few birds eyes and scotch bonnets with a garlic clove, put into a bottle of olive oil and leave in dark place for 3 weeks. Tis great schtuff to cook chickeb with! (culchie me)

The chili that fontnalis linked to is also known as the ghost chili and is the hottest in the world. This guy comes up against them a few times...
