The MF 690 is acting up on me. It starts ok but does not respond when the accelerator is pressed. The revs don't go up, I don't think its a problem with the throttle. Could it be bad diesel??

when did you change the fuel filter last?
where do you get your diesel from, have you your own tank, how old is it

It could be any number of things but if you answer these you could be closer to knowing

If nothing at all happens, check the throttle linkage and stop linkage.

    +1

sounds like a disconnected linkage, check the linkage is actually moving at the pump when you pull the throttle

check the simple obvious things first
