Plaster on cavity wall

Lads a quick question, currently finishing roof and windows due soon, have a query regarding the walls.

I have a 100mm outer wall, 150mm cavity with 100mm insulation, then another 100mm block.

I plan on dry lining the walls with a 50mm slab (38mm insulation, 12mm plaster slab). Before I go ahead with the slabbing I have been advised to scratch coat the walls using sand and cement.

Has anybody tried this before, if so what was the outcome?

    Did you find much benefit?

Will there be any problems with damp or mould growth due to the dew point on the walls and the scratch coat.

Any and all opinions welcome, thanks
