Bank Holiday rules for pick up of payment?

    Hi,

    I am fairly new to picking up a social welfare payment and I was particularly sick all last week and still am.

    I am supposed to pick my payment up at the post office between Thursday - Monday and because I was sick planned on leaving it till this Monday. I have picked up on a Monday before.

    However I didn't realize it was a bank holiday today so now I don't know what the rule is for this kind of situation. Do they give you till the Tuesday when your on a Bank holiday weekend? Or do I need to go back to my Welfare Officer to either reimburse me for this week, or be reinstated for next Thursday?

    Any advise would be appreciated.
