The plans for the old Tesco site are tied up in court due to planning issues, Dunnes Redmond Square plans are shelved due to owner of B & B making objections no future plans have been announced and as for the Main Street site Dunnes won't rent to any business that may rival Dunnes and the premises is in really bad condition so I can't see anyone going near it unless Dunnes fix it up they had planned to knock the place down in 2006 and put up a knew store but they changed there mind.

thanks mcloughlin... dam... somthin needs to go in there and fast... eyesore and embarrassing.... corries is another one that needs to be sorted out...alot of floor space in there and would be an ideal place for someone...

council should fine these owners if the place doesnt at least look respecatable, even if theres nothing in it... corries is a right dump and the old dunnes right on the main street is not far behind although a little bit more presentable (only just).

At this rate hey will end up like The Capitol left idle and in ruins for 20 years or so. Half of the old Jenkins department store is in a bad state as well outside is fine but inside its a wreck.

There was building or demolishing work going on at the old Tesco carpark during the week. Don't know what, didn't get a chance to snout around.
