Hi all, just to make a suggestion for anyone getting married in the Registry Office on Lower Grant Canal Street in Dublin and looking for a venue to have a meal afterwards. We got married there in September and went back to a restaurant called Bloom on Baggot St afterwards. Its downstairs near Donnybrook Fair. We had eaten there before and the food was very good and reasonable, so we talked to the chef about putting together an a la carte menu.

We had 30 people and it all went down really well and was really good value for money. After the ceremony in the registry office we had cava in a nice outdoor seating smoking / area out the back. We then went inside and had an absolutely fantastic meal. Pól looked after us very well and went to the trouble of getting in trout at our request after we had previously eaten it there. The food there is, in my opinion, as good as anywhere in Dublin right now and is very good value for money - they do two courses with a glass of wine for €25.

We had the run of the place with kids in tow and were allowed stay as late as we wanted to. Decor is very nice and very good atmosphere.

So just to spread the word to anyone in the market for something similar!
