macbook disk drive

hi i have a macbook laptop its a few years old im upgrading to a mbp in a month or two but atm my disk drive on the macbook doesnt work its like someone stood on it or something and its all pressed in its been like that for ages had no need to use it as an external one works fine! but im going to be selling it and wondering if anyones nos is there any way i can fix this my self with out sending it to apple or an apple manufacter!? thanks

thanks but what i ment was my cd rom as in where i put in cds! changed my hard drive not to long ago! getting the screwdriver was the hardest part! its the cd drive i need to change witch i think is going to be tricky!
