English Parking fine applicable here?

Anyone know if failure to pay a parking fine (issued by an English County Council) is worth losing sleep over? I have corresponded with them & they are unyielding in thier efforts to obtain £25 (nearly 30 Euro) from me, and they claim that if I fail to pay them they will get the DVLA onto me :)

Maybe that's the chink in their armour?

They'll run the interest on it up over time. When it hits a couple of grand or so (maybe less) they will likely instruct solicitors to go and get a judgment against you. The judgment would be enforceable against you here.

Meanwhile I don't know if you still have the car or plan on driving it in the UK. With those clever computer things they have on the patrol cars these days unpaid fines do come up and I'm not convinced they don't have a power of seizure once it hits a certain level.

Anyway, if it were me I'd pay the 30 euro.
