    Hey,

Does anyone know of any decent cosmetic dentists in Dublin? I want to enquire about getting my teeth fixed and touched up. There's not too much wrong with them, but I want to get the perfect 'American Smile' so to speak. I suppose an example of the perfect set of teeth would be Cheryl Cole's.

I would like to find out about porcelain veneers and what they would cost in Dublin. I know people go to Thiland to get dental work done, but I'm not sure I trust it. What about the after care?

Veneers are great of done well. You can be sure Cheryl went to a top dentist that cost a bit more. She also had braces to align the teeth first and the right lateral is a crown. A prosthodontist is a specialist iun crowns veneers and such. Ask your dentist for a referral. Depends on the quality of job you want. A top notch jobs will take a good bit of time and resources.

I had porcelain veneers implanted on the front of my top row of teeth, regrettably i never took up my parents offer of braces when I was a teen ! as it wasnt "cool"...

long story short, I had the job done in Thailand in 2006, while i was travelling for a yr, for around E2000

not sure would it of been the same price or more here, thankfully never needed aftercare, and they are looking very well still ! so no problems here with the Thailand job. and since I've been to my Irish dentist, & he has said they did an excellent job.

    good luck

Just went to the dentist today, veneers cost E800sth/tooth, quite expensive, then i was told the 'bonding' will also do the job, cost about E300/tooth, last 7-8 years ---- a few years less than veneer?
    In Dublin.
I've been thinking about it too....anyone know is bonding trustful?

Porcelain veneers are indeed more expensive because they are handmade restorations designed and created to look natural, while providing extreme durability. The veneers fit on the front surface of teeth that show in a smile. The design process is very complex and also requires a longer procedure to ensure the quality of the patient's smile.

Bonding, on the other hand, is definitely cheaper, but will not last longer than porcelain veneers. It is more of a temporary fix to the problem.
