Heating not working 100% (I think)

I've had the oil burner going for 2 hours now and the radiators are only warm.

    - I checked the thermostat in the oil boiler house this morning and it is near the max (firebird heatpac 150).

    - The pump (DAB model) is switched to no. 3 setting (the highest I think)

    - the water pressure guage in the hotpress is registering 0.8 bar when cold - 1.3 when hot.

    - there is no air in the rads

So I've exhausted my knowledge of the usual suspects when the rads aren't heating up. All I can think of is balancing the rads but I haven't a clue how to go about this. Or is there something else I've missed?

    Is there a room stat?

    Zone Valves?

is the pump running(not just power to it but actually circulating, unscrew centre nut and insert screwdriver and check resistance)
is there a pipestat controlling the pump
    are the minivalves open
this may have something to do with your timer post(is there a control fuse blown somewhere)

Hi Dave. I see your stat went this morning...Is there a chance the pump went as well. turn the dial up one and back on the pump. See if it kicks in...Or trips your power.

Is there a fused switch on the pump. If so is the light on,.

Forgot to say that the two stats (one bedroom end and one living end of house) are turned up. The two valves in the hotpress controlling the flows to the two zones have their lights on (working or should I test and if so how?)

Too dark to check pump now but I'll have a look in the morning. Would the water still circulate if the pump wasn't working? The boiler is outside about 10 feet from the house (with an insulated pipe carrying the water to/from the boiler) and the furthest rad from the boiler is about 100 feet from the boiler and its warm.

Water wont circulate....Rads near the boiler will only heat up....Or upstairs if you were not in a bungalow...

you possibly can manually override mini valves by sliding steel bar across and hooking onto latch or get someone to turn thermostats off individually and listen for spring release returning to off position and orange light goes off

When was boiler last serviced, might be possible that there could be slight soot build up on boiler and this will reduce heat significantly. Boiler will appear to work normally but will have low heat output.
