hi ,i hope to lay new cables for a small housing development shortly,it will be easier to run them now,i was planning on running 6 good quality trunk cables,
one cable for terrestrial signals(poor in the area)
    four cables for astra 2
one spare cable for possible future saorsat use,
    will this be enough?
will each mux operate on one transponder or should i run some more to be sure,i know the cable may not be used but i would rather be looking at it than looking for it later, thanks.

ALL the Irish Transponders, ever, for Ka-Sat will be same band and polarity. That's how they cheaply do the spot reuse and have 80+ spots on only four dishes.

    BUT

It's ALWAYS a good idea to have a spare cable. You can always flog access to it to Digiweb or UPC. Digiweb oddly can in theory provide Cable Broadband in more areas than UPC can. Periodically they consider doing isolated developments.

Also ensure fibre can easily be pulled in / blown in later. http://irelandoffline.org/2010/10/irelandoffline-have-quietly-been-working-on-a-plan/
