Just wondering what kind of experiences people have had with these guys.

I bought a Skoda off them recently and in spite of them saying it would be fully serviced, it wasn't. I was driving at night in the rain just a few days after purchase and when I put the wipers on, I was completely blinded as the blades were totally gone. Lucky I didn't crash - was just like someone putting a blindfold on you. Not a big thing really, just 40euro to replace but still, very annoying and potentially dangerous.

Would love to hear what experiences people have had with them, be they positive or negative.

You didn't notice there were no wiper blades for a few days?

Okay, maybe I worded that badly. The blades were intact but rather than giving a clean sweep accross the window they smeared it accross, blinding me. It's not something that would be as obvious during the day but at night it left me blind.

    AhI see.

Possibly the car was laid up for a while, leaving the grime to build up.

A good clean of the windscreen might have fixed the problem, rather than buying new blades (though it's not a bad thing to do).

I wouldn't attach too much blame on the garage provided they did important things like an oil change, coolant top up and check for anti freeze etc.

I'v dealt with them a few times. They've always had parts that I need for my punto. But the guy that wears glasses in the parts area is a bit rude. I rang them once look for the paint code gave them the reg and they had it right there on the computer.

The window was so clean you wouldn't hardly know there was a window there.

maybe they used polish or wax on the window and when you turned on the wipers it smeared

Arrrah, ya sure. Who needs new wipers, just clean off the grime but be careful not to polish or wax your windows because if they are too dirty the wipers won't work and if too clean they won't work either. Thanks for that guys, I won't bother buying anymore wipers - who needs em!
