Well start gently and mind yourself.

Go for a walk every day, short ones at first, then up the ante a bit.

Im recovering from a back injury myself and was advised to take it gently for a while. Good luck to you. I also piled on the pounds and am only beginning to get back on track.

    Dont do anything mad :D

Post up your stats and your usual diet

Without seeing your diet you need to eat better.

Being injuried doesn't cause you to put on weight.
Doing nothing doesn't cause you to put on weight.

The problem is eating too much. Often easier to do when injuried.
To reverse this you need to eat too little for a bit. Creat a calorie deficit between eating better and excercising more.

I think that if haven't been able to excercise, you didn't need to eat as much, its no difference to our bank account...if you are spending too much you need to earn more, if you can't earn more you need to cut back. If you can't excercise you need to watch what you eat, its always far more effective than excercise. Its the gyms etc that promote excercise...why wouldn't they?
