Maintaining Curls

I'm graduating in three weeks time and unfortunately I have to be there at 10.30am so there is no time to go to the hairdressers to get my hair curled. I was thinking I could get it done the day before and use a hair net when I go to bed. Would this keep them in shape, or is there any alternative?
