Just caught the story on RTE news.

The cars involved were being cloned with vin & reg numbers from clean cars and were then sold on via online car sales sites.

The private used car market is a minefield these days, most of the schemes have been popular in the UK for ages and it just seems to be getting going over here.

They were being cloned from crashed cars, they were at it for a long time from what I've been hearing.

There was someone selling cars at the entrance of westbrook for the last 3 years.
I was looking for more information on this but there doesn’t seem to be any more. I wonder if they let these guys go on bail.

Hate car thieves, great to see some arrests! Hope the courts take it seriously, everyone ends up paying for it thru their insurance premiums.
