Was just reading a piece on RTE.ie about the Croke Park agreement and read some terms of employment that publilc sector employees can claim. This thread is for posting these outdated terms of PS contracts. You have to link to the proof so that people here can't just post hearsay/rumours, this is about statement of facts.

    I'll start with:

The 30 minutes per fortnight which is still allowed for cashing a paycheque will be eliminated from next month.

It is understood that many staff still avail of this entitlement - despite being paid electronically.

Just to note, not every public sector employee gets bank time and I don't think you will see any reasonable resistance to it going. Nonetheless this is boards, so let the mob commence ;)

Well I didn't want it to be witch hunt, that is why I said post a link to prove it...

It also says in the quote many staff, not all, avail of this.

According to the article in todays Irish Times all those who have been employed since 2003 do not get this benefit.

TBH though if all that has been done since the Croke Park agreement is to remove the extra half an hour that some PS get to "cash their cheques" and the consideration of the lost of "privilege" days at Christmas and Easter then we are really in trouble.

The article in todays IT is here.
