DLB has been plugging tonights show on the radio since Tues.

Than means according to the RTE viewers theorem:

The longer a show is promoted on RTE, multiply by number of RTE staff appearing on show is directly proportional to the amount of sh1te that will be presented as entertainment

=tonight’s show will be a steaming pile of dog sh1te

They didn't have to go as far as the canteen for guests/staffers this week just the carpark.

Not a bad line up, relatively speaking. Pity Tubs knows sweet FA about sport, cooking, fashion and music. :pac: . Can't abide that Gok Wankér though.

Just saw this on the RTE website.. Apparently, Tubridy is set to become a prolific author now (like Amanda Brunker)...
    Tubridy working on second book
    Friday 22 October 2010

RTÉ presenter Ryan Tubridy is about to launch his first book and is already working ahead on his second. According to the Herald The Late Late Show host has revealed that he is planning a children's book, something that would no doubt appeal to his daughters, Ella (11) and Julia (6).

The 37-year-old said: "I really enjoyed the experience and I like the idea of doing another book. I like the idea of doing something for children, either a children's book or history or something like that.

"I've definitely got a line of enquiry in my head that I'm pursuing. I've got a taste for it." His first book 'JFK in Ireland' will be launched next week before going on sale on 5 November, to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the American President's election.

Speaking about the book he said: "It's more than exciting. It's hugely exciting for me. I called into my mum this morning. I got two copies of it and I kept one and I gave her the other one and it was a lovely moment. This book aims to present the public side of that whirlwind Kennedy visit in 1963 from those who may have stories, gifts, photos, video, memories or simply an opinion on it."

You think he would be more concerned with making his radio show something that appealed to ANYBODY else on this planet..

Tubs is sooooooooooooooo far up his own hole

What annoys me is that he comes in to the LLS sooooo unprepared... I think he uses the same cue cards every week, cos the questions are pretty much always the same... starting off with the guest's connection with Ireland of course..

I mean you think that RTE would at least get his attention exclusively for the year when the taxpayers are paying him a million quid... You really wonder have to wonder if Forrest Gump negotiated the contracts of the RTE "stars"...

Does anyone know which FF'er is on this week?

There's a difference between doing research and understanding the research. Dawkins was the classic example - Tubridy may have known the basics of who Dawkins was, and he knew that we was some atheist type, but the look of incredulity on his face when he was asking questions showed someone who lacked the basic understanding of what his guest was about. He's repeated that gobdaw look in several "serious" interviews and they make for really boring, superficial interviews.

Contrast with Parkinson who was the master, and Gay Byrne not a million miles away. Even Ross has that deeper understanding but manages to hide it most of the time.

That's my problem though, I mean he was probably smoking his pipe and leafing through the Warren Report when he should have been reading up on the show's guests.. Maybe Bertie taught him how to double job??
