I have a 00 206 1.4 only got it second hand a few weeks ago nice little car etc but I noticed last night that the break light are remaining on.

I know they work with a relay system etc but where is it in the car and is it easy to replace?

You mean the brake lights at the rear of the car?
If they remain on after you take the foot off the brake it's prob the switch.

It's probably found at the upper end of the brake pedal above your feet inside the car assuming it's not a hydraulic switch.
Or it could be found under the glove box on the near side. Have a look there too, the switch might even have popped out.

    Edit: handy link

Biko can you remove the thread?, just found out how to do it from another car site.

there is a little white plug on the passenger side which can be kicked out of place. it is a result of doing LHD to RHD on the cheap. Just out and in and job done.

I'm not a mod of this forum and besides, next person with the same problem can read this thread and fix it themselves.
