Emissions Down- Does The EPA need to be as big?

As expected our emissions are way down due to a combination of the recession, factory closures, less cars, lower emissions on said cars.

However, we still have a massive bloated EPA who mostly drive to facilities earning massive expenses etc. On many occasions they bring 2 inspectors when 1 would easily suffice.

Many of the industries they deal with are on short time.

With the change in circumstances will the EPA look at THEIR practices and reduce the number of inspectors, inspections and their staffing levels in accordance with the new circumstances and the finances of the country?

A reduction of 8% in staffing and expenses could easily be achieved.

I would think they should increase the number of inspectors. I would guess with less money companies will start to take short cuts and ignore environmental rules.

Soon it will just be quangos inspecting and harassing other quangos after they strangle the life out of every business in the country.

Of course the EPA should be slashed, along with every other quango of clipboard carrying busy bodies.

Remember the fuss about the mechanic with the topless calander? Your tax euros hard at work.

It is impossible to effectively reduce or enlarge the size of any state agency or body depending on demand, unless they propose to move enviromental inspectors to the department of social welfare where we have a shortfall.
