Ok so had a meeting today for a new means test as i moved house in with my girlfriend a couple of months ago. she is a full time 3rd level student in her final year, who is going getting the grant in a few weeks. in the interview i made all this clear and i was told that her grant will be means tested against my means. fair enough. it just about adds up to 60 a week. just wondering was/is anyone in this situation and how much was taken from your weekly jsa?! im currently getting 150 a week as im 22(until jan).?? any help would be appriciated.

i was also told that i should claim her as an adult dependant as she is not working. so i did, and again i dont reaally know what this will mean in the whole scheme of things! im not recieving rent allowence or anything like that, my rent is only 55 a week so dont want to be claiming for that also as i can afford it with the 150 a week, it does be tight by the end of every week but just dont want to take something i dont necessarily need if you get me! again any help clearing it up would be appriciated!
