FIS critera

    Hi,

    Quick question here regarding the critera for FIS. I saw on citizen's advice that the claiment can't be in reciept of the following:
    You cannot get FIS if you are getting one of the following social welfare payments:

    * Jobseeker's Benefit or Jobseeker's Allowance
    * State Pension (Transition), or Pre-Retirement Allowance.

    I'm fully employed but my partner isn't. If I apply for FIS, will this disqualify us?

    No. As long as you meet the criteria, you can apply in your own right. Your partner's Jobseeker's payment will be classed as income into the household though.
