    How competent are most pilots? Ever flown with a guy and though "Thank God i'm flying this plane and not him"?

    I find the most interesting read is how a pilot got to where they are now. Often involves a lot of blood, sweat and tears, sacrifice but above all, determination (especially in this climate). Really great to read stories of guys who did it all and now find themselves rewarded for their perseverance, sitting in the right or even left hand seat of a commercial jet.
