We've been using Samsung NC10s (or similar Samsungs) here in work for the last couple of years and for what we need them for they've been great. The big draw for the netbooks is the weight, price and quality (we bought about 30 of them a couple of years ago and the only problems I've had is with a couple of users that have problems with everything). I don't care too much about processor and hard drive size.

I've a few netbooks to order in the next week and I've been trying to see if there's anything current of similar quality. I can get the current model Samsungs but they don't seem to be any more powerful than the two year old NC10s so I was wondering if there is anything more powerful around these days for a similar form factor.

The Samsungs, models are a couple of years old so I'm hoping the technology has moved along.

Does anybody have any good experience with current models?

    you would have thought so...

Only real advances have been battery life increases... up to an average of 7-8hrs. The atom hasnt changed too much at all, gpu upgrades nearly non-existance, HDMI yet to be standard etc

Below represents probably the first real advancements.
Dual core cpus will really help speed up multitasking and the ion will finally allow proper hd playback. Connectivity with HDMI and USB 3.0 on some models is also a welcome bonus.

TBF cant really look beyond the ASUS Eee and Samsung N range for most reliable netbooks.
