    just want to through a question out there? whats the most impressive weight for age has anyone had with any weanlings? askin this because weighted some weanlings for sale and have a bb (jok) out of a chx cow weighing 494kgs at 240 days old. gained 2.48 kgs a day over the last 45 days. could'nt get over this if they were all like him there'd b money in this game!!

    I don't breed BB, nor creep feed so 350kg would prob be nearer to the best of my bull weanlings. We are keeping all ours this year.

    You creep fed then? How much meal on average did they get to acheive this?

    That's some weight alright. I have one Char this year who wont fit through the creep gate (home made). He was born late march, reckon he's well over the 400 Kg.
    You cant beat the bainne! ;)

    Fair play to ya tismesoitis, I was in mountrath last thursday night and I reckoned ppl were slow regestering because of the weights for age. With your post I can see its possible. Is it possible for an early april born calf to be over 420 kg?

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    yeh creep feed them from about 3 months of age reckon they eat close to 300kgs of meal. think it pays.....hope it pays:confused:

    weighed 3 april born calves 2 lims 395 and 410kgs and a bb 405kgs we tryin to push them as hard as possible i'm sure the odd one wil b over 420 but to average it might b a tall order!

    Thats serious weight gain lads, our best this year were about 320/330 and they were born early April and we were happy with that. but 450:eek:

    I remember my father had a sentimental that weighed 590kg at 12 months!!!, an absolute monster!!

    He's a good one alright more a ch shape than a bb shape though prob won't get anything over the 2 euro per kg i reckon. D mother is a fair cow served her back to ai lim bull SIX to try get replacement heifer.

    I have one weanling by SIX this year, out of a Shorthorn cow. Lovely animal, nice and quiet with great width and muscle. Pity it wasnt a heifer, which was what I was trying for.

    yeh he seems to be putting class animals would love to get a little lady!! only have one SIX so far great animal and like yours he's as wide as a bus.

    ya he looks like a savage powerful bull,still not awful popular id say cause i havnt seen much outta him,maybe dats cause of his calvin figure,think il chance a straw or 2 on milky cows
