Saw a guitar on amazon.co.uk last week available for a pretty low price.
Normally £500 sterling, there's a couple of companies selling it through amazon for £200.

I really wanna order it soon but i'm worried that there's gotta be a catch.

Anyone have any experience with buying guitars online? Should i be wary?

Buying guitars online is fine. I've bought every guitar i own bar one (So thats 6) online and have never had an issue.
That being said you have to be sure of who you're buying off, what guitar is it, and ideally who are the sellers?

Post up the links of the Amazon guitar and the link for the other website, so we can have a look.

    Here's the page on amazon

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Epiphone-Custom-Silverburst-Limited-EPIPHONE/dp/B003SQDHOY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1287646986&sr=8-3

I was gonna get it off the only site with some ratings, its only got 5 ratings and when you click on the company name it just shows you another amazon page. like this,
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/shops/storefront/index.html?ie=UTF8&marketplaceID=A1F83G8C2ARO7P&sellerID=A1WR2KH37EZERU

IMHO the only thing about buying online is that you MUST be prepared to send it back if its not right. This is probably the very last thing you want to do just after you get your shiny new guitar. :D
You should probably clarify in writing with the seller what the return policy is before you hand over any dosh.

could possibly not even be a shop since theres nothing online with a site apart from the amazon one, but it does have 5 reviews from the last month, id personally prob find a site that has a reputable site goin on, but that could be perfectly aok

Those Amazon prices are very low. Less than half of the main UK sites.
    Maybe worth a punt.

Just be careful, i'd direct you to this thread,
seems that the chinese counterfeiter are also on Amazon,
this price wouldn't even be the cost price for the real thing

Actually, i cant thank you enough for this info.
Read that thread and a few others i found after, pretty sure i'd be foolish to chance it. still kinda want to take the risk but i think i'll use my head instead.
I should probably go buy some rum to console myself.:(
