hi all i cant get my boiler to come on (it is a mynute 20HE), it had not been used for a few months.
Initially there was no pressure, but sorted this by opening feed valve in hot press for a while.
So now there is pressure now but when I turn on boiler there is a lot of groaning and croaking (!) -like water is trying to get through- heard coming from the boiler but it soon cuts out.

I bled air from the boiler using the screw on top but still no joy- any advice greatly appreciated! (Ps i know there are other vokera threads here which i have read but couldn't find anything)

Loosen two small phillips head screws above switches and gauges and the panel will drop down inside you will see a circulating pump with a large chrome screw in front of it remove this screw completely (it might drip some water thats ok) then insert a flat screwdriver until it engages the slot turn this a few times to free the pump, this should work.
