Thought the Politics regulars would enjoy this:
    Comprehensive Spending Review Cuts

You can choose how you'd change the British budget.

I left healthcare, education and policing untouched. Made various cuts over the other sectors (abolishing the Arts Council, ending child benefit for high earners, reducing the numbers of prisoners, withdrawing from Afghanistan, raising the pension age and freezing benefits /tax credits and so on)
    Amounted to cuts of £48.5billion.

    What cuts would you make?

That's very clever, I'd like to see an Irish newspaper put one of these together

I became an ultra Tory all of a sudden, cut almost 150 billion!

Made more cuts than Osbourne with one cut in education, defence, raising the pension age by a year and and freezing tax credits for the duration of the parliament. Also cut 10% of Wales' spending, though I don't know what's involved. :pac: Cuts are still enough without that though.

Hmm. I got up to cuts of 52bn before I got bored!! But then, I don't know enough about the UK's various systems to know what I'd be affecting!!

Nice little tool. Mind you, I can't help thinking that's how this Gov are deciding cuts - list of choices on paper, close eyes, stab with a pin to make choice.

I think you just caused a national strike and the mobs are calling for your head. The army has mutinied over your savage cuts.
And Wales is looking to secede :D

Pfft, the army isn't going to mutiny over one less unused aircraft carrier, and if Wales does secede there's the other 90% saved, win/win. :pac:

You know, if you cut every department's budget by 75% you can make some remarkable savings.

A little trick I learnt from IT projects - don't cut - restart from scratch - you get it right the second time round...
