    Have 2 cars in family to get serviced both circa 48km done, type vw jetta 2006 1.6 petrol (just passed nct with me not doing anything before hand) and toyota aygo 2007 1litre, questions any suggestions for best price and quality service dublin area,was quoted €375 local garage
    also looking in to doing my self any advice and best place for servicing parts required please.

    Doing yourself should be an option if only an oil change, filters and plugs is required. Provising you have some axle stands and a decent jack, filter wrench, spanners/socket set and a spare Saturday morning. Parts can be got in any factors or your main dealer, use the correct oil to spec recommended by manufacturer in the owner's manual.

    Hell with the aygo you could just get someone to lean against it and that should be enough to get it jacked up :D. but seriously I'd completely agree with the above, google will tell you all the parts you need, you can either source the parts on ebay or just get them in a motorfactors. Halfords do probably the cheapest oil at the moment, can get 4l of castrol magnatec 5w30 for around 35 euro.
