How much do you spend on tickets, buying PPV's, magazines, subscriptions, dvds, merchandise and other stuff.

    My estimated spends

€5 x 4-8 ish ppvs buys (split cost with mates)

    Maybe €60 on Dvds

about €100 on tickets to shows

    €8 X 12 Observer sub

Don't buy magazines or other merchandise.

Bones off €300 for me, which really isn't bad,

    How bout you?

I've stopped buying PPVs last year
    I might pick up a few DVDs/tagged classics -- 60 quid
I'll go to 1 show per year (60 quid)
    Buy PowerSlam every month... 6 x 12 = 84
    LAW/BTR podcasts are free
Haven't bought any wrestling t-shirts in a while. If i want one someone else can buy it for me for my Bday or Xmas.

    So about 200 per year.

Too much is probably the most appropriate answer. I went to BFG this year and WM last year so it's tough to make a reasonable estimate but alot.

If youre to include flights & hotels for wrestling then quite alot.
    I'd say ballpark €4000-€5000.

The Observer is like 8 euro a month. That ads up to 96 yoyo. No playboy subs though :pac:

    Nobody mentioned the games?

    I'd assume they count no?

If so, that's the only thing I'd buy, normally stream the PPV's if I can.

I'd buy a Book or Autobiography €20+. Power Slam Every Month €60+.
    Maybe a Dvd Set €30+.
    Box Office PPV's 5/6 x €22+.
Go to a Show every Year or so €150+.
Added together that makes about €400, doubt i'll be going to any shows or buying as many ppv's next year.Might start buying more dvds.

This year I haven't done much. Got a replica Kane mask made that came to about €150 or so. Intend to buy Foley's new book, at about €20 I'd estimate, and I buy a Powerslam every once in a while. Not often though.

In years gone by, though, I'd have spent a fortune on replica belts, figures, pendants and such, but I kinda gave up on all that when I realised i was getting into debt and don't have a job.

Nowadays, whilst still in debt, i spend money on the odd bit of WWE merchandise here and there (looking for a few t-shirts on ebay and such, and if i see a decent shirt at a decent price, I'll probably get it) but I don't go mad with it anymore.

I buy The Rumble and Mania so i think

    €21.95 * 2 = €43.90

I'm being serious in saying it's too much for the product we receive.

Does peoples TV sub count? If they have sky sports just for wrestling that is?

In an average year i would say approx €500 I would say between going to shows, DVDs and books etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,965 ✭✭✭Cherry_Cola

I used to spend a ridiculous amount a few years back on figures etc, I had over 1000 on last count!!

As I got older though I got loads of DVD's from all promotions really, I have well over 700 wrestling dvd's now! I also bought an ECW replica belt and would head to the odd show or two.

Haven't spent as much this year, mainly due to the fact I've got a savage broadband connection ;)

T-shirts: If I go to a live event about 75 yoyo's haven't been at any this year but was at three last year. Usually make a couple of raids on euroshop over the year as wll usually about 75 a time-bought from TNA'S US store a couple times as well items cheaper but customs is a nuisance

Rumble PPV 23.99, usually go to a friends house for Mania and chip in on that but only a fiver or so. don't buy the rest really

tickets for live events I always buy meet and greet or ringside if available so usually between 50 and 75

Wrestling Magazines- My FSM subscription is 45 I think, pick up powerslam most months and PWI every now and again

Books: depends. think only wwe autobiographical books i don't have are Batista's (don't like him), Mysterio (same reason) and Edge just cos I never got round to it and it's badly outdated now. buy a few independent ones as well but roughly about 70 quid a year maybe?

DVD's: Get good second hand ones in CEX derry Vince's boxset for £5, Foleys greatest hits a tenner. don't buy brand new really although i'm tempted by Jerichos

all in all too much i think-buying the mania package for next year has skyrocketed it through the roof as well

I have actually sold off alot of my DVD collection. Made a tidy little sum from it as well.

One I will proabably try flog on ebay next is NWO: Back In Black, which sells for a high enough price, despite it being complete crap.

    I spend zilch

dony buy magazine read everything online
    PPVs again watch online
havnt been to a show in ages

I do subscribe to sky sports so I can watch wwe so suppose that counts
but am tempted to get the new WWE Stats attacks thing

Buy most of the PPV's that are on SBO so that's roughy 6 x 22 which is 130.
I've only subscribed to the Observer for a few months so that's only about 40 this year but it'll probably me more next year. I buy most of the DGUSA PPV's on DVD and some others from High Spots so I'd estimate another 150. Usually I would try to attend one show which I'd have to get my little brother a ticket so that'd be around 120.

    So roughly between 400-500.

CEX in Derry can be a goldmine for DVD's. Got the ladder match set for £6 and the Bret Hart one for £5. They were both going for £25 in HMV.

Smackdown Vs. Raw game every year, so that's in around €50 a year.
