'Dialling in' your diet...

    Didn't want to drag the Red Meat thread OT so have started a new one:)

    This post http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=68585164&postcount=7 has made me question my diet. Do I have enough variety wrt to the veg that I eat? Am I eating some kind of liver or something every week? I think I will always always be trying to improve my diet but some things that I am currently working on implementing or am trying to get my head around are:

    1. Want to try Brianthebard's receipe for liver (ie liver with (GF) sausage meat wrapped in bacon)
    2. Eliminating refined sugar totally from my diet. Now its not as if I would have sugar in my tea or coffee or anything. I'm talking about eliminating the chocolate that I would have on my 'cheat meal' once a week. Reading Nutrition and Physical Degeneration has really hammered home to me in the most effective way the fact that sugar/white flour/highly processed foods have no place in my diet.
    3. Seriously toying with the idea of forking out for that cod liver oil/butter oil combo that Green Pastures sell. (But the $40 delivery charge:eek: is making me think twice TBH).
    4. Want to get rid of the non-stick pans that we have in the house and replace them with a good quality pan without a non-stick surface.

    Two changes that I have implemented recently which I am really pleased with are:
    1. Getting used to having my morning cup of coffee without milk as I don't digest milk protein well:)
    2. Having breakfast at home instead of work as was not sure that the breakfast that I was having at work was totally GF. Am making extra veg for dinner the night before and eating it with either eggs or leftover meat:)

    I sometimes feel like I nearly go through a grieving process when I eliminate something which I know is no good for me from my diet.:o

    why's this then?

    PS. I only have non-stick pans, should I be worried?

    I guess that it is because it is a recommendation given by Sally Fallon of the WAPF. More info is in this link http://www.westonaprice.org/food-features/607-my-pots-and-pans.html Now I don't know whether or not what they say in that link is true. Either way I'd prefer to ultimately get rid of them just in case
