Need to replace the bottom bracket on my Trek 2.3 . Spec is as follows Shimano 105 SM -FC 5600 . Written on one of the cups is BC1.37 X 27 ROAD . I notice this one on CRC http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=11726 has BC 1.37 X 24 ROAD . I'm assuming that the 24 and 27 are TPI and that the discrepency means that they are not compatible , and I can't use the 24 TPI one ? Have e-mailed CRC with a query on it , but they've not got back ......anybody help ?? Thanks

That won't fit. It is the correct diameter but the wrong thread pitch.
Check out this link before you order for compatability.

Thanks for the reply Vic , in actual fact I checked when I got home from work this evening and the BB has 24 TPI after all ! Should have put my reading glasses on last nite , so the CRC BB ( and the one Stokolan gave me to check out ) are in fact compatible . Feel a right d***head now after e-mailing CRC technical dept too ....
