Decision to make import or not

    Looking to change car and have been offered 2 cars.

    car 1 is a '97 renault megane saloon 1.6 Petrol for £500 that would need to be imported whilst car 2 is a '99 VW Passat 1.9 TDI for €2,250 that obviously is in ireland already and has its NCT till August '11.

    Both cars are really nice and insurance is not wildely different.

    What you all think is better option?
