    Hi,

Since the cold snap is upon us, where is a good place to get a hat/gloves and scarf? Had a look in Penneys but didn't like any of the styles.

    Thanks

Really depends on what you are looking for. If it's winterwoolies then Dunnes or Marks and Spencers will cover it for ya.
If you want something more sporting then try "The Great Outdoors" or any golf/sailing shop.
For something a bit more formal then Arnotts, BT and Clearys will have a good range.
For top end you'll need to hit the mens outfitters. Try Hackets or Herons on South Anne Street (but bring two major credit cards and a fistfull of cash)

Good wool scarves are well worth spending money on. If looked after (i.e. not left in the corner of a pub), they last for a long long time while keeping one very, very warm indeed. BT always has decent scarves in their sale, so keep an eye out for them.

I'm sure the highstreet shops will have their winter range in too. Try Topman/Riverisland/UrbanOutfitters.

On a similar vein, if anyone spots a white (or near white) silk scarf for under €50 will they note it for me. My new overcoat demands it.
