Whats your problem with banning the indiscriminate poisoning of protected species which finally brings Irish law into line with every other civilized European country:confused:

Vermin like crows and foxes are already controlled legally by gunclubs throughout the country using the gun and traps without resorting to indiscriminate and destructive methods that are now thankfully banned!! - don't forget that gamebirds are just as likely to pick up poisoned grain meant for crows/pigeons:(

PS: Indeed I don't beleive this thread brings anything usefull to a "hunting" forum since it has nothing to do with the sport we all enjoy here!!

i have to agree, i don't think poison is a good way of working. there are too many rare species of bird that could eat the poison, not to mention neighbours dogs/cats

Do any of the hunters here support the use of poison, I don't think so, I know I certainly don't and as for mice get a cat!! 100% natural!!:D

I think you'll find that a cat is a more indiscriminate killer than even poison.

I also agree that poison is not a good way to operate and is something we, as responsible hunters, should be seen to distance ourselves from.

Poison is not a hunting or shooting related topic.
