Love the look of it.. Try'd it out in fore golf recently with 2 different shafts! Was getting 245 meter with my burner and best I got was 248 with the super tri! Like it but wouldnt buy 1! Couldn't justify paying what 100 euro per meter ha!

I've been hitting the R9 for almost a year and its amazing. Easily the best driver I've ever hit and I think that's mainly because it actually fits my golf swing! The FCT and MWT options are awesome!

In the same boat, had a fitting for new driver and the head recommended was the supertri based on having a R7 superquad at the moment. The fitter really wasn't concerned with which head was used and was quite happy to build a club with the MP-630. My question is would I be missing out on the FTC with the mizuno head, I never really played with the weights on the R7?

Absolutely I think you'd be missing out, the combined technology of the FCT and MWT is many levels above that of the MWT on the r7 drivers. I mean you can take a 9.5 loft driver and use the FCT technology to not only change the loft a couple degrees but also the lie as well as shape the shot from left to right or vice versa, which to me is just priceless. Plus this way if you're swing improves or changes, no shelling out $400 for a new driver, you just changes the settings a bit. I really suggest you check out this page to get an idea of the options the R9 drivers give you, its really informative and was very "eye-opening" for me. Just click on the R9 driver instructions link and check out the FCT instructions:

So even though I'd have a moveable weigh in the MP-630 you reckon the supertri is still way ahead?

I have R9 Supertri Tour Preferred with 80grm stiff shaft, it's an awesome weapon and I hit it straighter and further than any previous driver (R9, R5, Ping G5), I'm not as keen on the fairway woods for some reason, I tried them out but stuck with my R5's.

Got the supertri last summer, not entirely happy with it, it keeps pullin the ball into the trees on the 6th on my course

Ya probably need to train the ball better, had the same problem with one except it was afraid of the dark!
